From gut feel to rules — in three steps.
Each stage has a defined outcome and a fixed fee. You can stop after any stage and keep the client deliverables produced for that stage.
The Planning Health Conversation
About 45 minutes, at your premises or online. We talk through how inventory and ordering decisions happen today: who decides, on what basis, and what goes wrong. No operational data required, no preparation, no obligation.
You leave with: an honest read on how your business orders today, and a straight answer on whether the next step is worth your money. If it isn't, we say so.
What we'll ask about
- How the last big stockout happened — and the story behind it
- The oldest stock in the warehouse, and how it got there
- Who decides order quantities, and what they look at first
- What your system already records (usually more than you think)
The Inventory Cash & Availability Diagnostic
A written report that quantifies — where your data supports it — the cash tied up in excess stock and the availability gaps on important products, with root causes, stated assumptions, confidence levels and a prioritised roadmap.
All we need is a stock list and 12 months of sales by item, straight out of your system; every Diagnostic starts with a short data-readiness check. Units only is fine — your team applies your own prices at the final step. Conservative attribution throughout: material estimates state their assumptions, calculation method and confidence level.
What the Diagnostic delivers
- Cash tied up in excess and slow-moving stock — item by item, where the evidence supports it
- Availability gaps on important products, and their estimated exposure where credible evidence exists
- The specific ordering habits and planning gaps behind both — alongside supplier, market and foreign-exchange factors
- A prioritised roadmap: what to fix first, and the indicative value of fixing it
The 90-Day Inventory Control Program
Over 90 days, we install the working parts with your team: practical inventory policies and ordering controls for the agreed scope, a Planning Owner routine, a KPI dashboard and a monthly management review — including two operate-and-transfer cycles, so your team runs it confidently before we step back.
Jupa designs and recommends. Your team approves every parameter, places every order, manages every supplier and makes every commercial decision. Improvement is measured against an agreed baseline.
Afterwards, the optional Planning Control Service keeps the gains from decaying: monthly facilitation, KPI review against the baseline, Planning Owner coaching, and review of risks, exceptions, parameters and actions.
What gets installed
- Inventory policies and ordering controls for the agreed scope, approved by your team
- A KPI dashboard reviewed monthly against the agreed baseline
- A Planning Owner routine and a management review — chaired by your team
- Two operate-and-transfer cycles before Jupa steps back
What happens when.

90-Day Program
Policies, controls, dashboard and review installed with your team; the optional Planning Control Service keeps it working.
Your team places every order. That never changes.
This is the line the whole engagement is built on. Jupa designs and recommends the initial ordering controls, quality-assures their maintenance and facilitates the review process. Your team approves the parameters, owns their operational use and makes every commercial decision.
| What we do | What your team does |
|---|---|
| Analyse your item movement and quantify the exposure where the evidence supports it | Provides and validates the operational inputs from your system |
| Design and recommend the inventory policies and ordering controls | Approves every parameter and every ordering recommendation |
| Build the KPI dashboard and agree the baseline with you | Places every purchase order and enters every transaction in your own system |
| Quality-assure the controls and facilitate the monthly review | Manages suppliers, pricing and stock-disposal decisions |
Results depend on the quality of available data, the client's decisions and the consistency of implementation. Jupa does not guarantee a specific inventory reduction, cash release, sales recovery or service outcome.
The data promise
Before operational data is shared, confidentiality and data-processing terms are agreed in writing. We are not auditors — we analyse item movement only; nothing is reconciled to declared figures. Your data is stored separately, accessible only to authorised personnel and approved service providers, used solely for the agreed engagement, and retained and deleted according to the agreed Data Processing Schedule, with written confirmation of deletion. Prefer not to share values? We can work in units only — your team applies your own prices at the final step.
