About Jupa

Workshop floor first. Planning second. Nairobi by choice.

The founder

Elias Mohammed

Jupa was founded by Elias Mohammed, a supply-chain planning professional with more than ten years of experience across inventory planning, demand and supply alignment, operational planning routines and multinational supply chains.

His career began in the electrical industry, building power-supply units and control cabinets using imported components such as breakers, contactors, terminals and cable. That hands-on background gives Jupa a practical understanding of the products, supplier constraints and long replenishment lead times faced by electrical and industrial distributors.

Elias later completed a BSc in Engineering and Management, specialising in Supply Chain Management, at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland — part-time, while working. His experience includes leading integrated business planning across multi-country operations, aligning demand, supply, inventory, capacity and executive decision-making.

Jupa applies that experience in a deliberately practical form for owner-led distributors in Kenya: clear inventory policies, explainable ordering controls, defined ownership and a recurring management review — not enterprise bureaucracy.

Jupa is founder-led and senior-reviewed. Every engagement follows a defined methodology, with senior oversight of the scope, findings and recommendations.

Why Kenya's distributors

Because imported stock punishes guesswork twice.

A Nairobi distributor ordering from overseas lives with lead times of weeks or months. Order too little and the shelf sits empty until the next shipment clears. Order too much and the cash is locked away just as long. Every ordering decision is a large, slow, expensive bet — and in many businesses it is still made from memory.

Larger organisations commonly manage this with defined planning rules, clear ownership and recurring management reviews. Jupa adapts those principles to the realities and data available in owner-led distribution businesses — especially electrical and industrial distributors: practical rules, defined ownership, and a review that actually happens.

How we work

Three working principles.

Fixed fees

The scope and fixed fee are agreed before work starts, with any material change handled transparently in writing.

Conservative estimates

Material estimates state their assumptions, calculation method and confidence level. Jupa uses conservative attribution — indicative exposure is never presented as guaranteed savings.

Your team runs it

Jupa designs and recommends the initial controls. You approve the parameters, own their operational use and make every commercial decision — nothing works if it only works when we're in the room.
